GOZO

Island Life

Need a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Then come lap up the fresh air, fresh food and most importantly fresh vibes of Gozo. This is Malta’s smaller, more laid back and better looking neighbour. Its rural settlements are situated between the scenic hills that appear on the national coat of arms, and with a population of only 31,000 people you will have plenty of space and then some.

Dive into the best of the Mediterranean

Not only are you guaranteed sunshine and views for days, but Gozo is home to some world class diving, so whether you’re a beginner or a more seasoned diver, you will find it hard not to fall in love the extraordinary underwater world that surrounds this beautiful island.

Kit up and prepare yourself for amazingly vivid blues, exceptionally clear visibility and incredible aquatic scenery. With plenty of marine life to discover hiding out in archways, caves and the many wrecks scattered around the island you won’t find better diving anywhere else in the Med.

Luckily BLOCK is situated just above to Ritual dive and we can offer accommodation/dive package deals.

What’s there to do?

Gozo has a lot of other things on offer – from more extreme activities to the usual easy-going tourist stuff. These activities will satisfy your craving for adventure and is a different way for you to experience Gozo.

What’s there to see?

GGANTIJA
XAGHRA

This UNESCO world heritage site has two temples that were built between 3600 and 3200BC. It’s believed to have been built by a race of giants – because who else could move blocks that exceed 5m in length weigh over 50 tons?
SALTPANS
MARSALFORN

3km of the north coast is covered in 350-year-old saltpans. They are still in use and during the summer months you can see workers scraping the salt crystals that are then stored and processed in caves that have been carved into the coastal rock.
WIED IL-MIELAH
GHARB

Check out Gozo’s last remaining natural limestone arch at the northwest coast near the village of Gharb. This valley is scenic and boasts a wide variety of flora and remarkable views of the sea.

Where’s the beach

RAMLA L-HAMRA

If you’re looking for a place to swim, snorkel and sunbathe is this it. The whole beach is covered in red sand and the fertile sand dunes and terraced walls that local farmers built surround the bay offering a remarkable backdrop.
BLUE LAGOON

Just a 15-minute speedboat ride from Mgarr Harbour the Blue lagoon is situated between the island of Comino and the islet of Cominotto. It offers crystal clear water and a white sandy bottom that’s perfect for a dip and is an excellent spot for a scenic walk.
XLENDI BAY

Right on our doorstep this popular bay offers both swimming and snorkeling from the small stony beach. In the height of summer, visitors and locals alike can be found sunbathing along the rocks of the bay and eating outside the many restaurants on the promenade.
